* We are seeking a passionate and dedicated AI Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development and a keen interest in artificial intelligence and OSINT tools. You will be working closely with our senior developers to enhance and maintain the Taranis AI platform: https://taranis.ai/
* Under the guidance of our interdisciplinary team, you will work intensively on applying modern natural language processing (NLP) algorithms and leveraging large language models (LLMs) to process cyber threat intelligence feeds.
* You will not only work on the technical implementation but will further creatively design software solutions.
* You will contribute to Taranis AI, a novel solution, which is also published open source on GitHub and used by the security community and authorities across Europe.
* Furthermore, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process. You will use modern software development methodologies while applying agile approaches and will use a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
* By regularly exchanging ideas with European cooperation partners and security authorities, you will become a recognized contact person and thus continue building up your network over the course of multi-year research projects.
Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Strong Python programming skills; JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
* Experience in the DevOps field, such as containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
* Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, and a basic understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and data analysis.
* Basic understanding of OSINT tools and methodologies.
* Proficiency in using Git and GitHub for version control.
* Experience with web application development in Python, preferably using Flask.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ideally, prior contributions to open-source projects.
* Ability to work in a team, high commitment, interest, and willingness to learn new technologies
* Good German language skills, good English language skills.
What to expect:
The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 56.784,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience.
