We're looking for a strategic and experienced real estate development professional to lead the acquisition, planning, and optimization of our real estate locations in Austria and Switzerland.
You'll play a key role in securing new sites, managing permits and approvals, and protecting and maintaining the long-term value, permits and legal rights of our existing assets - ensuring our spaces are ready to meet the needs of the many.

WHO YOU ARE:

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

º 6+ years of experience in real estate development or asset management
º Strong background in law, urban planning, engineering, architecture, or real estate business administration
º Proven experience working with public authorities and navigating permitting processes
º Strategic mindset with hands-on delivery experienceWhat you'll be doing day to dayº Lead the acquisition, leasing, development, active management and divestment of our portfolio and individual properties across Austria and Switzerland
ºBuild strong relationships with local authorities and external partners to secure planning and permitting approvals
º Manage real estate risks, taxes, and obligations to protect IKEA's interests
º Oversee infrastructure and utility agreements, neighborhood agreements and other business relationships ensuring compliance and cost-efficiency
º Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover and operational readiness
º Represent IKEA in property-related matters with landlords, tenants, and shared property associations

This position is advertised as full-time. We are open to discussing part-time arrangements with suitable candidates during the interview process.

The collective agreement minimum salary for this position is € 2.362,- gross per month (full-time). Based on an all-in contract (14x per year), we offer a minimum gross salary of € 4.250,- per month for this position. It is important to us that you are paid fairly and in line with your competences. Therefore, your actual salary will be determined together with you in a personal interview.
